Model Train Swap Home Page ( N-Scale)

For The Model Train Enthusiast...

Welcome to the Model Train Swap Page. This is a Non-Profit/Free/For Fun site. I have created this site for those of us who are interested in trading and swapping N-Scale train items. This is a learning experience for me and suggestions are welcomed. The photo to the left is an example of what things would look like. With success, I hope to expand to other scales in the future. Here is how it worksSimply e-mail me at the address below with a jpeg file attachment of the rail car, passenger car, engine, or other rolling stock you want to swap. I will post the jpeg file (photo of item) along with your e-mail address so interested parties may contact you. You reply directly to the person who contacted you through e-mail. They may have a item already on this site, or offer you another item they want to swap. You may swap any train items you have, you may decline a swap, or you may offer another item for swap, its all up to you! I have checked with the Postal Service and have found that rail cars can be mailed for about 50 cents, and engines as little as one dollar. Of course you can save more if you combine several pieces in one shipment. These costs are the responsibility of the persons involved in the swap. Hey, its still cheaper than buying new! Hopefully more fun to! One very important item: please let me know when you no longer have a posted item for swap. I will need to remove it from this site to keep it current.

More Train People...
Hi, my name is Craig Johansen, married to a wonderful and very giving wife- Dee. I'm thirty something and I live in Omaha, Nebraska. I was out of the hobby for many years, but got back into it after my brother and his wife came from New York to visit me about a year ago. After a short bit of testing, I decided to get back into N-Scale. Thanks Randy and Linda. Better know as the "Insane Train People". I believe he has more rolling stock than all the hobby stores in this state combined! Including all scales. He also has hands on experience on real-world rolling stock. Now if I can just get him to buy a computer-things would be great! Any ways, with my friends here, and my brother's New York friends we should have a good start. So lets see if this thing will work, send those photos, lets get some inventory. Please stay interested while this site is still evolving. Feel free to contact me if you have suggestions. I'm sure I'll need the help!
